At phbetj we know your personal data is not something to take lightly. This Privacy Policy explains clearly what information we collect, why we need it, how we use it, and what rights you have as a Filipino player under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Before diving into the full policy, here's what every phbetj player should know about data privacy.
phbetj complies fully with the Philippines' Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), and all implementing rules issued by the National Privacy Commission (NPC). Your rights as a data subject under Philippine law are respected and actively protected by our platform.
phbetj does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your data is used exclusively to operate your account, process transactions, comply with PAGCOR regulations, and improve the phbetj platform experience. Full stop.
All data transmitted between your device and the phbetj platform is encrypted using TLS 1.3 protocol. Sensitive data stored in our systems – including financial information and identity documents – is protected with AES-256 encryption at rest. The same standards used by Philippine banks protect your phbetj account.
phbetj collects only what is genuinely needed to operate your account, verify your identity, process payments, and meet regulatory obligations. We do not collect data speculatively or build profiles beyond what is required for the legitimate operation of a PAGCOR-licensed betting platform.
phbetj will only send you promotional emails, SMS messages, or push notifications if you have explicitly opted in to receive them. You can withdraw that consent at any time via your account settings or by contacting our support team. Opting out of marketing does not affect the operation of your phbetj account.
phbetj retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by PAGCOR, anti-money laundering regulations, and Philippine tax law. Specific retention periods for each data category are explained in this policy. When retention periods expire, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
This Privacy Policy describes how phbetj ("we," "us," "our," "the Platform") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information about players ("you," "your") who register and use the services available at phbetj.net.
phbetj is a PAGCOR-licensed online betting and gaming platform operating in the Philippines. As a personal information controller under Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012), phbetj takes its obligations seriously. We have registered with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required by law.
This policy applies to all personal data collected through the phbetj website, mobile experience, customer support channels, and any other interaction you have with phbetj. By registering an account or using phbetj, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with how we handle personal data, you should not use the platform.

phbetj does not collect sensitive personal information as defined under the Data Privacy Act – such as medical history, political affiliations, or biometric data beyond what is contained in a standard government-issued ID – unless required by PAGCOR regulations in specific circumstances, in which case your explicit consent will be sought.
phbetj collects personal data through several distinct channels, each of which is described below.
The majority of personal data phbetj holds is provided directly by you during registration and use of the platform. This includes information you submit when creating your account, updating your profile, completing identity verification, making a deposit or withdrawal, contacting our support team, or participating in a promotion.
When you access phbetj, our systems automatically collect certain technical data about your device and session. This includes your IP address, browser details, device identifiers, and behavioural data about how you navigate the platform. This data is collected via cookies, server logs, and analytics tools. See Section 9 for detailed cookie information.
phbetj may receive information about you from third-party sources in limited circumstances. These include identity verification service providers who help us confirm the authenticity of government-issued IDs, payment processors who confirm the status of GCash or bank transactions, and fraud prevention services that flag suspicious patterns associated with known fraudulent activity. In all cases, these third parties are bound by confidentiality agreements and the Data Privacy Act.
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, phbetj must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. The legal bases we rely on are as follows:
phbetj uses your personal data exclusively for the following purposes:
Your identity and contact data are used to create and maintain your phbetj account, verify your age and identity, reset credentials, and communicate important account-related information to you. phbetj will never use your account data to profile you for purposes unrelated to your betting and gaming activity on the platform.
Financial data is used to process deposits via GCash, Maya, BDO, BPI, UnionBank, and other supported Philippine payment methods, and to pay out winnings. We retain transaction records in compliance with PAGCOR reporting requirements and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations. All transaction amounts are denominated in Philippine Peso (₱).
phbetj is required by PAGCOR, the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), and other Philippine regulatory bodies to maintain certain player records and to report suspicious transactions. Some personal data will be retained and disclosed to these bodies as required by law, regardless of your consent preferences. This is a non-negotiable regulatory requirement, not a choice phbetj makes independently.
Betting activity data and session data are used by phbetj's responsible gaming systems to identify patterns that may indicate problem gambling behaviour. Where such patterns are detected, phbetj may proactively contact you with responsible gaming information, apply voluntary or mandatory limits, or restrict your account. This processing is in your interest and is required by our PAGCOR licence conditions.
Technical data and behavioural data are used to detect and prevent fraud, account takeovers, bonus abuse, and other security threats. phbetj shares data with specialised fraud detection services and with PAGCOR and Philippine law enforcement where fraudulent activity is confirmed or reasonably suspected.
Where you have opted in, phbetj may use your contact data to send promotional offers, bonus notifications, and platform updates via email, SMS, or push notification. You can opt out of marketing at any time through your account settings or by emailing support@phbetj.net. Opting out will not affect your account or your ability to claim promotions you discover independently on the platform.
Usage and technical data are analysed in aggregate to improve the phbetj platform – making it faster, more stable, and more useful for Filipino players. This analysis is primarily done on anonymised or pseudonymised data sets.
phbetj does not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following limited circumstances, and only to the extent necessary for the stated purpose:
phbetj retains personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by PAGCOR, AMLC, and BIR regulations. The following general retention periods apply:
After the applicable retention period expires, phbetj securely deletes personal data or anonymises it so that it can no longer be linked to you. Anonymised data may be retained indefinitely for statistical and research purposes.
phbetj implements technical and organisational security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold and the risks posed by our operating environment. These measures include:
Despite these measures, no internet-based system is completely immune to security incidents. In the event of a personal data breach that poses a real risk to your rights and freedoms, phbetj will notify the NPC within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, and will notify affected players promptly, as required by the Data Privacy Act's breach notification provisions.
phbetj uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and understand how players use our services. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you access phbetj.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They maintain your login session, keep items in your bet slip between pages, and ensure secure transaction processing. You cannot disable essential cookies without breaking the platform. No consent is required for these cookies under the Data Privacy Act because they are necessary for the performance of our contract with you.
With your consent, phbetj uses analytics tools to understand how players navigate the platform – which features are most used, where players encounter friction, and how performance can be improved. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individual players. You can opt out of analytics cookies via your cookie preferences or browser settings.
With your consent, phbetj may use cookies to recognise you when you return to the platform and to personalise promotional content shown to you. Marketing cookies are only placed where you have given explicit consent and are not shared with external advertising networks. You can withdraw consent for marketing cookies at any time.
You can manage cookie preferences through your phbetj account settings or through your browser's built-in cookie controls. Note that disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your core betting and gaming experience on phbetj.
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data held by phbetj. These rights are real and enforceable – phbetj will respond to all data rights requests within 30 days.
You have the right to be told what personal data phbetj holds about you, why we hold it, how long we'll keep it, and who we share it with. This Privacy Policy fulfils that right, but you can request a more specific summary at any time.
You can request a copy of all personal data phbetj holds about you. We will provide this in a readable format within 30 days. There is no charge for a standard access request.
If any personal data phbetj holds about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected. Update your details via account settings or contact our DPO.
You can request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to phbetj's legal retention obligations under AML and PAGCOR rules.
You can object to phbetj processing your data based on legitimate interests, including profiling for responsible gaming purposes. phbetj will consider your objection but may override it where our legitimate interest or legal obligations take precedence.
You can request that phbetj provide your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format so that you can transfer it to another service provider.
If you believe phbetj has mishandled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines at privacy.gov.ph.
Under the Data Privacy Act, you may be entitled to compensation if you suffer harm as a result of phbetj's violation of your data privacy rights. Contact our DPO in the first instance to resolve any concerns.
phbetj is strictly for persons who are 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data of individuals under 21. If phbetj becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a minor, the relevant account will be immediately suspended and the data will be deleted, except where retention is required to report the incident to PAGCOR.
If you believe a minor has registered an account with phbetj, please contact our support team or DPO immediately so that we can take action. Parents and guardians are encouraged to use parental control software to prevent minors from accessing online gambling platforms.
phbetj primarily processes and stores personal data on servers located within the Philippines. In limited circumstances, data may be processed by technology service providers or fraud detection partners operating outside the Philippines. Where such transfers occur, phbetj ensures they are subject to adequate safeguards as required by the Data Privacy Act, including contractual clauses that impose data protection standards equivalent to Philippine law.
phbetj will not transfer personal data to countries that the NPC has determined do not provide an adequate level of data protection unless appropriate contractual or other safeguards are in place. You may contact our DPO for more information about the specific safeguards applied to any cross-border data transfer affecting your personal information.
phbetj may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Philippine privacy law, PAGCOR regulatory requirements, or our platform operations. When we make material changes, we will notify registered players by email and display a prominent notice on the phbetj platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the date of the most recent revision. Minor corrections and clarifications that do not materially affect how we process your data may be made without individual notification, though the updated date will be revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of phbetj after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
phbetj has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required by the Data Privacy Act. The DPO is your first point of contact for all privacy-related concerns, data rights requests, and complaints about how phbetj handles your personal information.
For questions about your phbetj account that are not related to privacy, visit our FAQ page or contact general support via live chat. For responsible gaming concerns, visit our Responsible Gaming page. For the full terms governing your account, see our Terms and Conditions.
This Privacy Policy was last reviewed and updated in January 2025. The version published at phbetj.net/privacy-policy is always the current, authoritative version. Prior versions are available from our DPO on request.
